Dogwood Pottery
Tonight we are having a dessert party and I decided to use my Dogwood pottery. My husband got me these plates when we stayed at Ole Edwards Inn in Highlands, North Carolina. As soon as we walked in the shop I knew they would be a special keepsake from our trip. Dogwood was my Mama’s favorite flower and any shade of blue is my favorite color. They are the perfect plates to serve dessert on because of the dainty white flowers along with the vivid turquoise background. My centerpiece is a big white bowl that can be used seasonly. Today I placed green moss balls, fruit, succulents, and a couple of white hydrangea sprigs in the bowl to make my centerpiece. Greenery arrangements bring the outside in and give an organic look. This bowl is a nice centerpiece because of its low profile so your guests can talk to each other without the centerpiece being in the way. My table setting is a vibrant splash of color along with a neutral setting.
