Carmel, Where The Mountains Meet the Sea

Andy, my husband surprised me with a trip to Carmel, California after our daughter’s wedding. This is our first time here. My description of this magical place, is where the Mountains meet the Sea.

Most of the pictures I share with this story, Andy took with his camera. Carmel by the sea have many breathtaking topographies. The rainbow colors of blues in the sea, among huge rock formations, my favorite  majestic Redwood trees, the prism colors of blooming flowers all year round, and the charming homes are the backdrop to this storybook come to life.

The sunrise paints an inspiring masterpiece in the sky. Everyone we have met are kind and always have a smile. I have a feeling it has to do with the perfect climate and settings.

I feel like I am in a Dr. Seus book, “Little Dog Big Dog.” All dogs are wearing coats and have a pep in their step.. Art Galleries are all throughout Carmel by the Sea. There are huge glass sculptures, contemporary art, photographs of the big rolling waves of the Sea, and photographs of the lovely Spring Green Mountains.

This surprise get away has been enjoyable and peaceful being in awe of nature. The feelings I feel being here at Carmel by the Sea are renewal, inspiration, taking in the sunlight along with the raindrops, blooming budding flowers, and admiring God’s creation.
